Checklist joining Fost Plus

Via this module you can:
- check whether you are a party responsible for packaging
- download an information package
- download the new membership documents needed to join Fost Plus.

How do you do this?
Answer the questions that appear below. You can then either
- consult an information package
- obtain a new membership package.

Start of the questionnaire
1. Do you import packaged products or do you have packaged products imported in order to put them in the Belgian market? (This also counts for a non-Belgian company invoicing with a Belgian company number) *
2. Do you package products yourself or do you have products packaged in Belgium (with your own brand or as a neutral product) in order to put them on the Belgian market? *
3. Do you produce service packagings yourself and/or do you import service packagings? *
4. Will you release this year/ Did you release last year more than 300 kg of one-way packaging (household and industrial) onto the Belgian market?
4. Do you invoice with a Belgian company number?
5. Did you extend mandates to one or more foreign suppliers?
5. Do you apply the Green Dot logo to your packaging?
5. Has a Belgian company awarded you a mandate to make the declaration for service packaging?

According to the Cooperation Agreement of 04.11.2008 you are responsible for packaging.

 

To comply with your legal obligations, you have two options:

  • You join a Fost Plus and we take over all the formalities for you or
  • You file a declaration with the IVC yourself

Do you want to comply with your legal obligation yourself?

Then you have to collect proof of the recycling and recovery of the packaging for which your company is responsible.
And then submit that proof annually to the Interregional Packaging Commission.
You can consider filing a tax return yourself if:

  • your company is only a type C packaging manager,
  • your company itself organizes the return of its packaging waste from its customers

Sanctions
In the event of non-compliance with the provisions provided, you will be subject to administrative fines and criminal penalties.
