Discover a recyclable alternative for your packaging!

Recyclable packaging is an absolute must – that much is clear. In both Belgium and the Netherlands, businesses have committed to eliminating all non-recyclable packaging from the market and systematically replacing it with more sustainable alternatives.

Although businesses in both countries have already made a lot of progress, we are still seeing a number of packaging types that are hard to recycle or that cause problems at the sorting centres. The available recyclable alternatives are still not finding their way properly through to packaging companies in Belgium and the Netherlands.

It’s high time to change this! At our packaging trade fair Pack for the Future, we bring together 25 leading packaging manufacturers who will present their recyclable alternatives. This is the ideal opportunity for your business to find out about the latest innovations in the packaging world.

A unique Belgian-Dutch initiative

Pack for the Future is a joint initiative of Fost Plus and Verpact (the Netherlands), and is being organised in collaboration with Kennisinstituut Duurzaam Verpakken (KIDV) and Wageningen University & Research.

What kind of packaging is this about?

At Pack for the Future you’ll find sustainable and recyclable solutions for a selection of 20 everyday types of packaging and packaging elements that have previously been difficult or impossible to recycle. Each one is an alternative that is ready-made and available to producers today.

Top 20
Many packaging materials have been replaced by recyclable alternatives in recent years. However, the final steps are the hardest, so we want to use this trade fair to give the industry a hand by presenting future-proof solutions to our members. To this end, we’re joining forces with KIDV, a division of Verpact, and Wageningen University & Research, which will offer a scientific assessment of the alternatives.
